recién me engancho a tu blog (aun que ya sabia de tus excelentes trabajos), y me estás ayudando mucho!, yo soy un diseñador que ya esta aburrido de trabajar en una agencia (siempre lo mismo mediocridad) y que quiere desarrollarse mas en el area de la ilustración, pero claro siempre esta el temor a fracasar y por ende uno no se lanza, bueno aparte de las deudas que lo enganchan a uno a no dejar el trabajo. Pero en cada post tuyo que leo, me da mas ideas, cosas que ni se cruzaron por la cabeza y que las estoy tomando en cuenta, para por fin darle al 100% a mi proyecto.
De verdad gracias!

Hola Sergio, claro que buena solución, el cliente va a
querer lo que está en tu portafolio, y la gran equivocación cuando empezamos es
precisamente colocar todo junto. Lo otro que podrías hacer, Sergio es crear
paquetes de 3, 5, 10 poses así a mayor cantidad le pones un descuento para que
el cliente se interese por mas trabajo. Saludos

I had just purchased your design tutorial.. I had never seen your work before and though I know how to use photoshop quite well, I do not know illustrator as well. I also draw with pencil more often than anything and then scan into photoshop (I currently do not have a tablet).
I am going to check out all of your tutorials and go through everything. I can draw and paint quite well, but definitely need to work on digital art a lot more.

Plus it is harder to come up with a tablet here in Nicaragua..

Illustrated logos are easier to do in this age, than coming up with a simple solution. I've done both.

Hi Tina, it's not just you... I hate Illustrator, it's ages behind Photoshop in terms of usability. I colored the lineart just by using a new shape in top of the black lineart, the secret tip is I duplicate the black shape, change the color and then cut it so it fits exactly in the original place.

I see you're controlling those gradients as if they were shapes with bezier handles. Is that what that is or is there some trick to gradients in Illustrator because they're just so unfamiliar to me compared to Photoshop gradients. Also, how did you change some of the black lineart to colored gradients like on the monkey's ear? Looks to be a very good technique to make him look more natural and pop out.

http://julioodin.deviantart.co... he aprendido mucho de tus tutoriales tambien compre uno de ellos en PSD+tuts soy diseñador grafico y tambien hice un diplomado de diseño de paginas web, me gradue el año pasado y si chekas en DA el logo de Magic Box es la compañia que estoy creando, me parecio interesante este articulo de hecho he partcipado para algunos concursos tanto en DA como Talenthouse, creo que en mi caso personal ademas de el dinero que ayuda un poco esta el reconocimiento ante gente de todo el mundo en este tipo de sitios, pero es cierto que uno invierte tiempo y esfuerzo donde el sitio de valora con tu trabajo y ese tiempo creativo puede ser mejor utilizado en crear verdaderamente una marca de tu trabajo y ponerlo en accion, de hecho he trabajado en ventas alrededor de 10 años y decidi crear algo donde puedo tener esa satisfaccion que tu comentas, donde uno pone las reglas, en este momento estoy creando mi portafolio y estoy trabajando en mi primer trabajo como independiente y mi primera pagina web, se que es un poco dificil empezar y construir una reputacion pero lo principal es creer en lo que haces y lo demas vendra por si solo.

That Site´s are a waste of time, many ppl there like " Iam a Designer for 10 Years " ....... 10 minutes later i saw someone how submitted 5 Design´s for a Contest...it was full of Stock- Illustrations and Clipart...i reported him/her...30 mins later i got an email, all Design´s i repordet where removed... and the funny think is the designer postet a comment, i dont want to get in trouble and i respect the rule and this site... sorry but fuck that, and there are much more funny things i saw there like logos from some Website where u can generate Logos.... so its not serious for me , maybe there are some good people which do realy good stuff... but i dont understand why a contest holder need more then 2000 entries and picked then the most ugly logo ever....
